Going to the SCRC Convention?
Every year the Southern California Renewal Communities hosts a major conference intended for the upbuilding of the faithful.
The theme for this year's conference, August 29-31, 2014, is You Are the Light of the World.
One great way to help renew our minds is by listening to songs that continually call upon God to change us, transform us, and mold us into His image. Several of the songs in the iTunes Widget sampler at right were written and recorded by members of Top Catholic Songs and Catholic Music Ministries.

I have been a minister of music for almost 40 years, and I am, primarily, an ear-trained pianist/composer. I am hoping that, becoming a member, I will be able to find sheet music (mostly, lead sheets, if available), that also contain the guitar chords, as I, typically, see them, and then, improvise, accordingly.

SCRC has always been a great spiritual shot-in-the-arm for me. I started attending many years ago and now have been in the exhibitor booth with my Catholic singer friends for around ten years. We have the opportunity to chat with the attendees and also sing for them at lunch and dinner. Lots of music ministry at this wonderful Spirit-filled Charismatic conference in Anaheim, CA!

I loved attending the SCRC workshops way back in the 1980's---so much so that I would plan my vacations around the weekend dates. However, the real joy for me began in 2009 when I started performing for the lunch and dinner crowds and sharing music. My music ministry enables me to mix and mingle with thousands of God's beautiful Catholic Christian people, and I feel so blessed to be a part of this special event each year!
