Oração de Esperança (Antonio Resende)

MP3 Music Playlist:

Here is a new song sent to me by my friend in Brazil, Antonio Resende.

Antonio wrote:

This song was inspired by "Ecclesiastes 3" and the theological virtues. As there is time for everything, we need to believe that a better time will come. It is the Hope in Christ, which is our true anchor in the face of the hardships and sufferings of this world. It is about living an active hope, with love and trust.
When I started production, the initial idea was to make a stylized Bolero. With almost everything set, I wondered if it would not be best to go for something orchestrated. It was then that I received a message from my wife (who did not know about the music) who said that Saint Teresa of Avila was dancing with God playing the castanets. It was the answer I needed. Then, Here is the invite, so that you can also dance with God to the sound of this serene Bolero.

Thanks and God Bless,
Antonio Resende

Portuguese Lyrics:

Oração de Esperança

Há tempo de plantar
Tempo de florir
Cada dia tem o seu lugar
Sol com céu azul
Peço, Ó Jesus
Brilha a Tua luz no meu olhar

Quero derramar meu coração no Teu
Tudo que há em mim seja louvor
Quero estar em Ti, quero ser em Ti
Árvore da vida, justo Amor

Eu creio, Jesus, mas aumentai a minha fé
Jesus, vem me tocar
Eu amo, Jesus, mas aumentai o meu amor
Jesus, espero em Ti

Há tempo de chorar
Tempo de sorrir
Brisa e perfume de jasmim
Tempo de negar, tempo de aceitar
Tem festa de cores no jardim

English translation:

Prayer of Hope

There is time to plant
Time to flower
Each day has its place
Sun with blue sky
I ask, O Jesus
Shine Your light on my gaze

I want to pour my heart out into yours
All that is in me may be praise.
I want to stay with you, I want to be with you
Tree of life, holy love

I believe, Jesus, but increase my faith
Jesus, come touch me
I love, Jesus, but increase my love
Jesus, I hope in you

There's time to cry
Time to smile
Breeze and perfume of jasmine
Time to deny, time to accept
Have a party of colors in the garden
