In all the Psalms of petition, but especially those on the brink of despair while alienated from God;  are all on the lips of Jesus. He speaks for us, with us, as one of us. St. Augustine teaches us to pray the Psalms as those caught up in Jesus’ prayer and He in ours. The cross and resurrection are the life of the whole Christ; what goes for Jesus goes also for His Body, the church. This means that in our loneliness, abandonment, suffering, and even death, Christ is there with us and we are with Him, and we are in solidarity with each other.  Pope St. John Paul II often repeated a quote from Vatican II that in his incarnation Christ identified with each one of us in a personal way.

As part of my series on Catholic hymns, I have chosen a hymn that St. Mary’s Choir in Akron, Ohio sang for our annual parish May Crowning, it is one of my favorite hymns honoring the Blessed Mother. The hymn speaks of the blessed and beautiful days, and we are blessed in so many ways. In Catholicism, the Church is referred to as  "Mother" because she is the bride of Christ and the mother of believers the body of Christ, similar to how God is the Father of believers. The term "Mother" is a term of endearment that emphasizes the familial nature of the church. Faithful Catholics view the Church as an entity that cares for, guides, and nurtures the family of God in all things.

Christ is risen!!!

This is my new song, I co-wrote it with my friends Ann Ammar and Marianne Eichhorn.

I played all the instruments and sung and produced everything. The video shows original footages of the Sea of Galilee and surroundings.

The original title of the song was "Seasons of life" and then we opted for the other one...It's about the seasons of life and how through the different moments the Lord is with us and leads everything to its fullfillment.

In this amazing psalm probably written by King David(About  1000 to 960 BC) Ask the God of Israel, who in truth is the one true and living God of all the nations and people, to let all the peoples praise him. He wanted peace among the nations, which would come about when all the peoples and nations would worship the one true and living God.  The psalmist is inspired to pray for all people to come to know and praise the God of Israel as their one true God. The psalmist reminds us that God rules all peoples with justice and guides all the nations on earth.

On February 22, 1931, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ appeared to Sister Faustina in Cracow Poland. These apparitions lasted until 1938 just before she died and the beginning of World War II. In the diary, our Lord asked her to write, he tells of the infinite depths of his  Divine Mercy and asked for the daily praying of the divine mercy chaplet. He also requested that a Feast day be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter and praying of a divine mercy novena starting on Good Friday. He gave her the exact words of this chaplet and novena in the dairy, which was first published in Polish in Rome with Vatican approval in 1981Sister Faustina was canonized on April 30, 2000, by St John Paul II.

As part of my series on Catholic hymns, I have chosen a hymn that was written by Father Frederick Faber in 1861. Father Faber was a convert to Catholicism and began writing hymns in 1848.
