The Joy of Grace
5th Movement, Hungry for Heaven
revised 3/28/2016
Hurling down a highway slipstream
You're missing signs, you don't look both ways
Just passing time in your dream machine
On a journey, out of phase
In the cradle of a grand creation
under the moon and the stars above
You begin to read the cracks and the ripples
You begin to know the reason for love
You are a member of His body
You are reflected in His face
You are saved by the cross of Jesus
You can feel His embrace
You are cooled in the shade of a holy tree
Watered from the well of eternity
Nourished by the Word
Dancing joyously
Our Lord will bring you to this place
Our Lord will bring the joy of grace
Write your songs in the desert
Dream your visions in streams running clear
Run the viridian shoreline
And know that God is near
Our Lord will bring you to this place
Our Lord will bring the joy of grace
Praise the God of all souls
Praise the Lord of the Way
Praise the Healer of woes
Praise our Hope for each day
Hear the unborn babies wailing
Fear our lost humanity
Hear the rattle of broken vows
Fear the shadows of vanity!
What will bring us through? It is grace!
Know the joy of grace!
(2X) Our Lord will bring you to this place
Our Lord will bring the joy of grace!

Still in lockdown
Lockdowns vs. freeups
On a positive note, this has freed me up for doing more music at insong.org a well as getting a lot of home repairs done. I am trying to ease into semi-retirement.
Blessings

1 week to go!
Sorry to hear you won't be able to perform at your church anymore. I hope you enjoy semi retirement and have extra time for the things that are important to you. It's looking like lockdown here will be lifted early in about a week, rather than two! I doubt I'll be back to work for at least a month though. Stay safe and hope you and your loved ones and safe and well.
All the best,
Alex
Such an interesting
Such an interesting discussion. Here in the UK we have lifted restrictions but still have masks on in Church. We can sing behind the masks - but no wind instruments allowed as yet. Cases are nationally high but we all seem to be ignoring it!
I've been listening to your music, gents. You're both very blessed.
hope you stay well.

Hi Steve
I just listened to your track on topcatholicsongs. You bought such grace and emotion to it. It was really a joy to listen to. It is good that in the UK you have come so far like in America and I hope we get there soon. It looks like we are on track though! All the best mate and God Bless,
Alex.
