Your Gift of Song

MP3 Music Playlist:

Father thank you for inspiring us
To sing with hearts full of praise and love
as  you delight in our songs of praise
As to you our hearts you raise

You’ve blessed us with the gift of song
To  express our deepest  love for you
And our Mother and all the saints
Joining the angels in heaven’s choir

In your gift of song, we can express
Our deepest sorrow and lamentations
And our  highest aspirations
And pleads for mercy and your protection

let us at dawn first sing to you,
With joyful ardor pine for you,
that you, Most Holy One, may be
the font from which our lives flow.

Let darkness yield to dawning light
and night give way to morning sun,
that doubt occasioned by the dark
surrender to your gift of light.

We beg you Lord, with humble prayer
to prune away our prideful ways,
that you may be forever praised
By us who raise our voice in song.

In our earthly liturgies
We are one with heaven’s choir
Uniting your humble church on earth
With your glorious church in heaven

Let us join heaven’s harmony.
With all the angels and the saints
With pure delight and exultation
In the eternal hymn of your glory

Most loving Father, hear our humble song,
and you, O Christ coequal Son,
who with the Spirit-Paraclete
now reign for all eternity. Amen.

Gift of Song

Ron, you have written good verses about humankind's ability to praise God with song. This would sound good with light piano, organ or guitar accompaniment, along with choral ahs or ohs. Thanks for sharing.
