Daily Daily Sing to Mary - an old favorite Marian song

'Daily, daily sing to Mary sing my soul her praises due' was first writen by the French monk St Bernard Cluny in the 12th century. It was later adopted into English and included in the Christian hymbook Paderborn Gesangbuch in 1765.

It was popular in the Philippines where I grew up as a young Catholic before I moved to Australia. Very easy to sing and play on guitar, this song brings a lot of happy memories especially around the month of the Holy Rosary, October, when we sang it as an entrance hymn before the prayer.

Seat of wisdom, gate of heaven, pray for us.
