O Christ, your friends humbly pray:
Increase your light/in these dark days
let not evil’s subtle ways
Deceive us or leed us a stray
Fill us evermore with your joyful grace
To see more clearly your holy face
Till in heaven, we’ll see you in all glory
Keep far from us unholy thoughts,
all envy, jealousy, and spite
let us return no harm for harm
but conquer evil with the good.
Lord, guard our hearts and keep them free
from anger, pride, and sly deceit;
keep far from us all selfish greed,
the root from which all evils flow.

You carried your cross every day
To the end of your crucifixion day
You tell us to follow you - you are the way
That leads through death unto eternal life
Let us see in your cross your glory
From which you gave us all mercy
You invite us to share in your passion and death
As to share in your resurrected glory
