In this quick tip I show you how to create a little white space around the dynamic text and fingerings. In Sibelius this is called Erase Background. If you flip through some music scores you will often see that there is a little white space around Expression text and Fingerings, looking like this:

This is done to make these elements better readable and gives a much clearer layout than for example this:

In Sibelius all you have to do to create this effect is turning on the option to Erase Background in the Text Style settings. Have a look at the video below and you will see how easy this is:
