Responsorial Psalm 97(98):1-4 for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C - The Lord Has Shown His Salvation To The Nations

MP3 Music Playlist:

Responsorial Psalm 97(98):1-4 for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C

The Lord has shown His salvation to the nations.

Sing a new song to the Lord
for He has worked wonders.
His right hand and His holy arm
have brought salvation.

The Lord has shown His salvation to the nations.

The Lord has made known His salvation;
has shown His justice to the nations.
He has remembered His truth and love
for the house of Israel.

The Lord has shown His salvation to the nations.

All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
ring out your joy.

The Lord has shown His salvation to the nations.

Responsorial Psalm Luke 1:46-55 for the feast of Our Lady of the Risary (Memorial)

The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is His name!

My soul glorifies the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour.

The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is His name!

He looks on His servant in her nothingness;
henceforth all ages will call me blessed.
The Almighty works marvels for me.
Holy His name!

The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is His name!

His mercy is from age to age,
on those who fear Him.
He puts forth His arm in strength
and scatters the proud-hearted.

The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is His name!

He casts the mighty from their thrones
and raises the lowly.
He fills the starving with good things,
sends the rich away empty.

The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is His name!

He protects Israel, His servant,
remembering His mercy,
the mercy promised to our fathers,
to Abraham and his sons for ever.

The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is His name!

MP3 Music Playlist:

Responsorial Psalm 94(95):1-2,6-9 for the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C

O that today you would listen to His voice! ‘Harden not your hearts.’

Come, ring out our joy to the Lord;
hail the rock who saves us.
Let us come before Him, giving thanks,
with songs let us hail the Lord.

O that today you would listen to His voice! ‘Harden not your hearts.’

Come in; let us bow and bend low;

Responsorial Psalm 145(146):7-10 for the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C - My Soul, Give Praise To The Lord

MP3 Music Playlist:

Responsorial Psalm 145(146):7-10 for the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C

My soul, give praise to the Lord.

It is the Lord who keeps faith for ever,
who is just to those who are oppressed.
It is He who gives bread to the hungry,
the Lord, who sets prisoners free.

My soul, give praise to the Lord.

It is the Lord who gives sight to the blind,
who raises up those who are bowed down.

Sicut per Ignem : catholic symphonic metal in Latin

Sicut per Ignem is a project of catholic symphonic metal with lyrics in Latin.
I call it a project because it is not a band, though I occasionally hire vocalists for some parts...

Here is the website of the project: https://sicutperignem.wordpress.com/

Here are two songs I released two years ago. Although the production is not as polished as I hoped, it is already a good rendition of what I had in mind. You can find the lyrics at the end of this post.

Esto mi dux

Ubi civitas Sodoma fit,
Ubi palam adulter jam it,
Ubi caedes communis jam est,
Ub' infantes abortus jam est,

Esto mi dux,
Esto mi lux,
Deus, illumina me.

Esto mi rex,
Esto mi lex,
Veritas, educa me.

Quando pereunt maximae res,
Quando permanes unica spes,
Quando m'incidet ultima sors,
Quando veniet tacita mors,

Esto mi vox,
Resona mox,
Domine, voca me.

Esto mi fax,
Esto mi pax,
Spiritus, recrea me.

Ad stellam

Avis meis
Nuntiata
A prophetis
Nova stella.

Firmamentum
Observavi
Ad videndum
Astrum Dei.

Per tot montes,
Per tot lacus
Viatores
Facti sumus.

Passi solem,
Passi frigus
Ut infantem
Coleremus.

Dic, Herodes,
Scribae, ferte,
Sacerdotes,
Respondete :

Ubi rex
Iudaeorum,
Pontifex
In aeternum ?

Ephrata Bethleem, o tu
Iudae minima non es.

Nam exibit e te
Dominator Israel.

Ephrata Bethleem, o tu
Iudae minima non es.

Ad praesaepem
Procidamus,
Salvatorem
Adoremus.

Murrham, aurum
Ei demus,
Et incensum.
Salve, Salus !
